Liv i Stubbekøbing is an association that was founded on 23 October 2007. The background was a public meeting in August 2007, where 165 citizens called for initiatives that could reverse the negative development that many felt that Stubbekøbing was in. Groups were created that would actively correct it. Today, the groups change as needed.

The association's purpose is to create well-being and promote development, and make Stubbekøbing an attractive place to live or visit. The association is obliged to support and promote initiatives based on the wishes and proposals of the members and working groups.
